Alexandria R. Heinonen graduated from Conneaut High School in 2007, received a B.A. from John Carroll University in 2011, and received her law degree from the University of Toledo College of Law, where she graduated cum laude, in 2014.

During law school, "Ali" participated in Moot Court and was a semi-finalist at the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition held in Denver, Colorado. Ali received the title of "Barrister" and "Best Oralist" at the 41st annual Charles W. Fornoff Appellate Advocacy Competition where she argued in front of a panel of distinguished judges from the Ohio Supreme Court, the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

Ali is admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio, and is pleased to return to Ashtabula County. "I've lived in big cities for the last seven years, and I'm ready to return to the community where I grew up. I owe so much to this area and the people who live here, and I want to do everything I can to help our county grow and prosper".
